ROYALTY FREE LICENSE - The equestrian statue of General Robert E. Lee, sits atop the magnificent Virginia Memorial, on the Pickett-Pettigrew-Trimble Charge line, Gettysburg National Battlefield. It was from the tree lines to the left that General George Pickett's Virginians stepped off on the 3rd day of the Battle of Gettysburg. Pickett's division was  joined by two other divisions, these commanded by Generals Isaac Trimble and Johnston Pettigrew, whose men began the fateful charge from the tree lines to the right of the Virginia Memorial.
